Delete your account

You can delete your Ramu Kaka account and its data at any time, from the app or by email.

In the app

The fastest way. It takes three taps and one word.

  1. Open your profile

    In Ramu Kaka, go to your profile.

  2. Tap Delete account

    It is the last row in the Account card, marked “Permanent. Everything goes.”

  3. Type DELETE

    The app lists what is lost, asks you to type DELETE, then asks once more.

Your account is marked for deletion immediately and all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.

By email

Can’t sign in? Email us from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We check it is you and delete it within 3 business days.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile: name, email, phone, avatar, password hash.
  • Your membership in every flat you belong to.
  • Messages, expenses, meals, recipes, photos, and notes you authored, unless they are shared in a flat where other members still need them. In that case they remain visible to that flat, but your name is anonymised.
  • All push and notification tokens for your device.
  • Any AI history tied to your account.

What we keep, and for how long

  • Aggregated, de-identified analytics that cannot be linked to you, retained indefinitely to improve the product.
  • Transaction records (if you purchased a paid plan), retained for the minimum period required by Indian tax and accounting laws (typically 7 years).
  • Fraud and abuse records, retained as required to prevent repeated abuse.

Everything else is permanently removed within 30 days of your deletion request. Questions? See support or the privacy policy.
